I woke up today, and the earth was covered in a beautiful blanket of snow. The first crispy, clear white layer of snow in the early morning felt so special. When I started watching nature, I noticed that Everything was transitioning. The carpet of perfect snow reminds me of the clean slate we are offered every day. How lucky we all are!
In Ohio, the weather shifted from fall to winter during the night! Yesterday, it was Halloween, and today, we’re officially in the spirit of the Holidays. Last night, our pumpkin spice latte was transformed into a peppermint mocha season.
When my son was little, my husband got an offer to work in Cleveland, and we moved pretty quickly. There was no time to learn English. My little boy was homeschooled with me in an English environment. Immersing oneself in another language is the easiest way to learn it, but it can be brutal. So, to sweeten the deal, we did stop a lot at different coffee shops and quaint little restaurants to listen to everybody else. His first lesson was how to order a chicken sandwich. He practiced a lot, and he became a pro! But during that time, all the coffee shops would be under the influence of peppermint mocha latte; the marketing was everywhere. So he invented a little song:” Everything is peppermint…”
This morning, the lyrics were haunting me, in a good way. And I decided to prepare two recipes with peppermint. One for myself and one for Mother Earth. I made an easy peppermint mocha, not from scratch, but it was rich, creamy, and quick!
Next, I decided to make a little cleaner just because it smells so good in my living room when it dries. If you use natural soap instead of chemical soap, it also helps the environment and the lungs of your family. So let me show you my today’s peppermint addictions!
